THE ELDERS
Famed musician Peter Gabriel and entrepreneur Richard Branson had a vision of Elder statesmen using their collective wisdom, independent spirit and hard earned perspective to help people solve problems in conflict zones. They took this idea to Nobel Peace Prize winner Nelson Mandela and Graça Machel. They loved it and created an organization called The Elders:

PEACE STARTS IN THE FAMILY
Each elder in his or her own way can play the role of peacemaker. It is one of the greatest testimony´s to a life well lived if they can find their voice and help share their wisdom. And that peacemaking and wisdom starts with the powerful relationship between a caregiver and a care receiver.
